What can I expect from my first therapy session?

Your therapist will discuss your concerns, goals, and history in a safe and confidential space. The first session helps establish a plan tailored to your needs.

How often should I attend therapy? And how many sessions will I need?

Frequency depends on your personal goals and circumstances. Some clients attend weekly, while others opt for biweekly or monthly sessions for a period of time.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed is confidential, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law.

Do I need a referral to see a therapist?

No, you can book a session directly at any time. However, you may benefit from rebates if you receive a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or choose to claim through private health.
